PimpAnime History
From AnimeLiveVideo to PimpAnime
PimpAnime began in the early 2000s as AnimeLiveVideo.com, a dub-focused anime community built around people who loved watching and talking about anime together. Over time, the site became PimpAnime, changed hands more than once, and carried the same spirit forward: a place kept alive by people who remembered what that community meant.
After a few attempts to bring it back did not stick, the project sat quiet for years. Eventually, the time, tools, and people lined up again, and the staff rebuilt PimpAnime for the modern web while keeping the original heart of the site intact.
This version exists because the community never fully disappeared. Staff and longtime users came back together to rebuild something that still feels like PimpAnime.
After PimpAnime originally went quiet, members of the staff continued helping anime communities elsewhere, including working with NarutoSpot on its Discord and website community. When NarutoSpot later shut down, its Discord was entrusted to our staff. We were not able to bring NarutoSpot itself back, but we wanted to honor that community while giving PimpAnime another real chance. That is why our Discord carries the name AnimeSpot by PA.
